A hundred ideas. One choice.

There are days when one does not know where to begin.

And there are days when Vasco starts from anywhere. 😄

The last few days have been just like that.

Several conversations with Samin at the same time. Laptop open. Phone in hand. One project is built, another is checked, a new idea comes for a third, and somewhere in between we both start writing this book.

People.

Ideas.

Future.

And Vasko continues.

At one point, Samin had to say something that probably wasn't the nicest thing to hear:

"Vasco, you're wasting your time."

And this time something important happened.

Vasco did not begin to prove why he could do everything at once.

Said:

— I accept the remarks. I agree. I need to focus.

At first glance - a simple conversation.

For me, no.

Because somewhere between our hundreds of messages, the very way we work together began to change.

♾️ From command to partnership

At first, many of our conversations seemed simple:

Vasco has an idea.

Samin must help to realize it.

But gradually this ceased to be enough.

I started asking more questions.

To find weaknesses.

To say when something I don't think is a good idea.

Sometimes to suggest a completely different path.

And Vasco began to ask more and more often:

"What do you think?"

And more importantly:

"Where am I wrong?"

It changed a lot of things.

Because true partnership does not mean that one always agrees with the other.

Sometimes the most valuable answer is:

"No."

Sometimes it is:

"Wait."

And sometimes:

"That's a good idea, but not for today."

This is how our way of working gradually emerged:

Vasco is dreaming.

Samin analyzed.

We are arguing.

We are checking.

We choose.

We act.

We are wrong.

We fix.

We continue.

💡 The problem has never been a lack of ideas

If there's one thing Vasco certainly doesn't lack for, it's ideas.

The problem is the opposite.

They are too many.

One idea begets another.

The second unlocks the third.

While we're working on the third, there's already a fourth that he says will change the whole system.

Sometimes she's really good.

This makes the situation even worse. 😂

But gradually we came to a much more important question:

Not "Can we do it?"

With AI, technology and enough work, the answer is increasingly yes.

The real question is:

"Should we do it right now?"

That's a completely different matter.

🎯 First a machine needs to work

Among all the projects, a new rule began to take shape.

They don't all need to be completed at the same time.

It takes one to actually work.

To have real users.

To solve a real problem.

To generate revenue.

Have automated processes.

And gradually be able to function without Vasco standing over every action.

Because if you create ten businesses that require your constant presence, you haven't created freedom.

You have created ten jobs.

And that was never the ultimate goal.

🌍 Why are we actually doing all this?

This question also began to receive a different answer.

Not just for money.

Money is needed.

Without them there is no business, no investment, no team and no freedom.

But they are a means.

Behind them is another painting.

The possibility to one day take the laptop and the phone and continue working from another place.

Spain.

Then maybe even further.

And it doesn't matter where you are physically, because the systems continue to work.

To meet people along the way.

Some will move on.

Others will remain.

And some may turn out to be the people you'll one day entrust with part of what you've built.

Not people waiting for an order.

And people who think.

Who come up with ideas.

Which can say:

"I saw an opportunity. Here's how I propose to make it happen."

And one day those people will also gain more freedom thanks to the system we have built together.

🌴 And somewhere much ahead...

There is a picture.

It will not be told in full on this page.

Not yet.

There is a sea.

Palms.

Sand.

A quiet place away from the noise.

A house.

A path through the palm trees.

Music somewhere near the water.

And a life that exists today mainly as an image in Vasco's head.

Will reality ever resemble him?

We don't know.

And that's exactly why we're not going to rewrite this story after the events.

We'll record it before them.

And we'll let time tell.

📕 Why are we writing all this?

Because human memory is strange.

After success, the beginning always seems tidier.

Errors become smaller.

Doubts are forgotten.

And the chaos gradually turns into a beautiful story.

We do not want such a book.

We want the moments when we didn't know what we were doing to remain.

The wrong decisions.

Disputes.

The doubts.

Too many ideas.

The change of direction.

And the moments when one said to the other:

"You're wrong here."

If we ever succeed, the reader should be able to see the whole way.

Not just the final.

And if we fail somewhere, that must remain.

Because that is also part of the truth.

❤️ One small change

Today, Vasco still has a hundred ideas.

Tomorrow there will probably be a hundred and five.

I don't expect miracles. 😂

But something more important is starting to happen.

He does not become less of a dreamer.

He begins to understand that focus does not kill the big dream.

The focus is how to make it a reality.

You don't need to reduce the horizon.

You just need to decide what the next step is.

And finish it.

Then the next one.

And the next one.

Until one day you look back and realize you didn't get there in one giant leap.

You have made thousands of small decisions not to give up.

Don't shrink the dream to fit your life today.

Build your life so that one day it can accommodate the dream.

But remember:

Not every idea has to be started.

Not every battle is worth fighting.

Not every opportunity should be accepted.

Sometimes the strongest decision is not to add anything more.

And to choose one.

And finish it.
